For Global Youth Service Day

Why?
|
|
|
|
To celebrate the Global Youth Service Day, which is the largest annual celebration
of young volunteers. Millions of young people in countries all over highlight and
carry out thousands of community improvement projects. In keeping with the UN's Millennium
Development Goals, young volunteers chose to make it their objective to ensure environmental
sustainability to be the focus of this year's Global Youth Service Day.

What?

|
|
Global Youth Service Day was a great success across the country and world. Hundreds
of young people came together from more than 20 cities across the country, and 6
countries across the world, to plant trees, clean up beaches, and raise awareness
about global environmental issues, inspired by the New Year message by
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.

This year young volunteers from Art of Living, partnered
with Youth Serve America and the Millennium Campaign, to produce a global service
project that contributes to the achievement of the UN Millennium Development Goals.
