PEACE MARCHES 2000-2008
|

|
Youth leaders led marches of thousands of young people all over India to advocate
nonviolence, compassion, and global equity.
|
|
|
|
These students and young professionals were also championing several causes. Some
were propagating the integration of universal human values in business, politics,
and society. Others were marching for swift government action after events such
as the 2000 Gujrat Earthquake.

Transforming Insurgents
|
|
|
|
Interventions, which targeted at-risk youth and insurgents in Nagaland, were remarkably
successful in nurturing non-violence in society. Violent towns and villages were
brought to total peace as transformed youth vowed pursue non-violent means to achieving
social transformation.
