DONATE A BOOK:

|

|
This youth service program is a massive book drive aimed at donating books to aboriginal
and tribal communities in India and abroad. Because of a lack of cultural and educational
integration, aboriginal communities have remained largely isolated. In particular,
tribal youth sorely need the opportunity to receive a modern education in order
to break debilitating social patterns. Also, YES!+ graduates
collected books and had book fairs where they sold the books at a meagre costs and
the proceeds went for the education of underprivileged children.

BLOOD DONATION DRIVE:
|
|
|
Terror attacks in Mumbai on the 26th November 2008 left hundreds in need of blood.
It was an act that left an indelible mark on each one of us.
The situation demanded urgency and saw 150 people come together on the 30th November
2008 to donate blood, which was to be sent to Mumbai. People of all ages donated
blood, comprising mainly youth, in between the age groups 18-25 who stood out to
help the society.

With a vision of promoting educational excellence, volunteers of
Art of Living made arrangements for running a school with higher classes.
The aim of Art of Living is the all-round development
of students. Along with studies, it imparts knowledge of rules of health, cleanliness,
environmental awareness, etc. Feelings of patriotism, honesty and integrity are
instilled in them. YES!+ is running a school there called
"Sri Sri Seva Mandir" championed by ordinary youth, who are doing extraordinary
things.

WAYE & UNFPA collaborated to combat the falling sex ratio in India with a vision
of “Restoration of Natural Equilibrium in the Sex Ratio” and a mission
to combat the social menace of ‘Sex Selection’ through Spiritual Initiatives.
WAYE and UNFPA tried to impact all levels of society especially through the medical
fraternity.
